This
                neat little package came to the sold out •
                Underworld
                • on a rather cold February day, and managed to end
                in a sweaty, boiling venue.

              Estonian ::
                METSATÖLL
                :: opened with a solid, but unremarkable set. The crowd
                didn’t seem to be too impressed either and only warmed up
                a little towards the end. Their music tends to be more made for
                big venues and a larger crowd, and the atmosphere was a bit lost.
                Unfortunately the sound was rather awful at times – I could
                only hear bass and drums most of the times – although it
                got better once Korpiklaani came on stage.

              By then the
                Underworld was packed and ready to party. The audience consisted
                mostly of either middle aged people who appreciate the folksy
                parts of :: KORPIKLAANI
                :: or very young metalheads coming just for the party
                songs. The band delivered a 90 minute set of a good mix of both,
                whipping the audience into a frenzy. Although they are best known
                for their drinking songs, people tend to forget that they are
                also a great folk band and skilled musicians, which is a shame
                as this is where they really shine. Midsummer Night, Vodka,
                Ievan Polka, Rauta, Happy Little Boozer – the Finns
                left happy and smiling (and sweaty) faces all around after two
                encores. They definitely know how to put up a good show.
