              After
the NOCTURNAL HALL crew was not able to attend the last
year’s anniversary edition we are back on track in 2013
:) Organizers decided for another 3 days edition but luckily went
                back to the one-stage-solution.

              What has not
improved is the billing. This year’s line-up offers bands
that played here last year too. Other ones already saw twice and
one even thrice. In 2013 we got 26 bands and only 12 were new
to this location. This is really, really bad I think. There so
many great bands out there, which would add something special
to any of all these German Electro/Gothic/Industrial festivals.
And if the organizers would reveal just a little bit more balls
and broaden their musical horizon just a tad they could make the
BLACKFIELD FESTIVAL to something really unique, an event
that significantly stands out the other ones in Germany instead
of just being a cheesy copy exchanging the same bands year after
                year.
I of course am fully aware of the fact that such festival costs
a lot of money and that you have to book bands that fill such
venue for sure. But it did not work out this year, with hardly
5500 fans festival and venue … So why not try out something
                different?

              As for that
my favorite festival location in Germany, the •
                Amphitheaters
                • Gelsenkirchen, offered all those various pleasantness
I love here: a huge shopping mall, many other booths and after
show parties. Prices remained stable, ticket prices as well as
the ones for drinks and food, except for the fact that they are
generally higher than one month ago at Rock Hard Festival. The
breakfast tent was new to me and I loved it! Especially those
bacon and eggs in the morning. Yummy. Want to have this tent every
                year now!

              Okay, here
we go… may the ceremony begin…
